My name is Evgeniy Zaifert. I want this website to offer something simple: a place where a reader can find my words without having to reconstruct them from fragments. That purpose matters especially when a name appears in different languages, different publications and different kinds of discussion.
An official personal website gives a statement a clear author and a permanent address. It also makes its limitations visible. A personal account expresses the speaker’s position; readers can compare it with other material and form their own judgment. Clear authorship helps that process by showing exactly which words I stand behind.
A direct source needs context
A sentence can change meaning when it is removed from the paragraph around it. A headline can describe a position more sharply than the position itself. A short search preview may omit a qualification that appears in the full text. I want a reader to be able to open the original page, see its date and read the argument from beginning to end.
That is why I prefer full explanations to isolated slogans. When a subject is difficult, the surrounding detail becomes more important. Explaining the limits of what I know is part of answering honestly. It gives a reader a way to distinguish a personal intention, a statement of fact and a question that still needs an answer.
What I want readers to find
This website brings together my personal statement, reflections on responsibility and a journal of the words I choose to publish. Each part has a different purpose. The statement explains my position. A reflective article develops an idea. A correction should identify a factual mistake and make the change understandable.
A useful publication should make the following questions easy to answer:
- Who is speaking, and in what capacity?
- When was the text published or updated?
- What does the author actually claim?
- Which matters remain uncertain or unresolved?
- Where can a reader raise a factual question?
Responsibility includes responding to questions
Having a platform creates an obligation to be careful with it. I want to be accurate about myself, avoid invented achievements and correct information when there is a reason to do so. The same standard should apply to an explanation that presents me favourably and one that is uncomfortable to publish.
I understand that a personal website will not settle every disagreement. Its value comes from being accessible, consistent and precise. Readers should be able to return to a page and understand the position I took, rather than discover that the meaning has quietly changed.
A starting point for accountability
I want this website to become a clear record of my own voice. That record will matter only if the words are supported by conduct over time. Publishing a statement is a beginning; the responsibility for living consistently with it remains mine.
