Clear authorship. Accurate wording. Room for correction.
This is the personal website of Evgeniy Zaifert. First-person statements published under his name express his own position. A personal account should be read with attention to its wording and publication date.
Facts, opinions and unresolved questions
A statement of personal intention is different from an independently established fact. References to allegations, a document or a legal proceeding should preserve that distinction. Where a matter remains unresolved, the wording should make that clear.
Dates and updates
Publications display a publication date. When a page is revised later, an update date may also appear. A new statement reflects the position expressed at the time it is published; it should not be taken as an account of every subsequent development.
Corrections
If a factual error is identified, it should be corrected. Requests should identify the publication, the disputed wording and the evidence supporting the correction. Significant corrections should be explained in the publication so readers can understand what changed.
Quoting a statement
When referring to a statement, include its title, date and a link to the original page. Please preserve the context, especially where a passage distinguishes an allegation from a confirmed fact or a personal intention from a completed action.
